Dr Uttayan Chakrabarti is a consultant nephrologist and transplant physician currently attached to the Department of Nephrology, Manipal Hospitals Dhakuria. He has done his MBBS from Medical College,Kolkata in 2016,has done his MD in Internal Medicine from VMMC and Safdarjung hospital,New Delhi in 2020.He has done one year of senior residentship in the Department of Nephrology, VMMC and Safdarjung hospital,New Delhi. He has done his DM Nephrology from AIIMS Jodhpur in 2024.
He has expertise in treating general nephrology cases including glomerular and tubulointerstitial disorders, chronic kidney diseases, acute kidney injuries and diseases. He has in depth knowledge about all the modalities of dialysis including HD,HDF,CRRT,SLED,PD. He has dealt with both ABO compatible and incompatible transplants, HLA incompatible and deceased transplants including their pre transplant workup and managing their post transplant complications. He is well versed in managing ICU patients requiring nephrological intervention,in doing the procedures in the form of kidney biopsies and both tunnelled and non tunnelled catheter insertions.
Dr Uttayan has a keen interest in clinical research as well with multiple publications to his name as on date published in indexed international journals.During his academic life he has been rewarded multiple times for his presentations in the national and international conferences.
